What We Do & Who We Are
The Wissahickon Figure Skating Fund, Inc., (WFSF) is a tax-exempt, not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting student skaters who are members of Wissahickon Skating Club (WSC) through annual scholarship awards. The Wissahickon Figure Skating Fund, Inc., offers two Academic Honors Awards annually, one to a middle school student and one to a high school student. These financial awards recognize young WSC members who demonstrate academic achievement, good sportsmanship, and exceptional dedication to figure skating. In addition, an Academic Honors Team is selected from all candidates who demonstrate enthusiasm for figure skating and solid academic achievement.
The WFSF is a tax exempt, not-for-profit organization under section 501(c)(3) of the federal tax code. The WFSF has provided stipends to competitive skaters, purchased training equipment, and funded seminars and training programs in order to assist in the development of figure skating at WSC. Since 2007, the WFSF has focused its fundraising activities towards supporting two annual scholarship awards.
