Wissahickon Skating Club and the Wissahickon Figure Skating Fund are very excited and proud to announce that Bobbe Shire, who is famous around the world for her successful spin coaching of amateur and professional figure skaters, will be at Wissahickon Skating Club for 1 day on August 27th beginning at 1:00 p.m. to work with skaters in a clinic format to help them learn and apply her successful spin methods.
Bobbe was formerly a coach at Wissahickon Skating Club for 11 years before moving on to coach World and Olympic skaters such as Michael Weiss, Emily and Sarah Hughes, Patrick Chen and Sasha Cohen. During Bobbe's time at Wissahickon, she co-coached students together with Kris Shakarjian. On August 27th, Bobbe and Kris will work together again both on and off the ice delivering a seminar to skaters of any age interested in improving their spinning techniques. The seminar will also include off-ice warmup and conditioning as well as off ice spin exercises led by Logan Renard.
