Academic Honors Team

The WFSF has established an annual Academic Honors Team and provides financial awards for middle and high school WSC skaters. To qualify for the team the skaters must show academic excellence and a commitment to figure skating. In 2008, there were fifteen skaters enlisted into the Academic Honors Team. All enlistees received a certificate and pin to acknowledge their achievement and their schools were notified. This year there were two high school Academic Honors Award winners who each received $500, and one middle school Academic Honors Award winner who received $250. Congratulations to the whole team.

Who Is Eligible?

All figure skaters who are members of the Wissahickon Skating Club are eligible. Applications for the 2009 award will be available in December and are due back by March 1st, 2009. Awards will be announced in April 2009. For more information email: aht@wfsfund.org.
